3 days trek to Poon Hill

We had a wonderful time, 4-6 hours a day walking, sleeping in cozy guesthouses. Our guides Thakur and Uttam were very friendly and helpful. Especially the Poon Hill is worth the walk up the mountain. It is a beautiful viewpoint, grand sunrise and breathtaking Himalayan views. We had a great holiday, Thank you!

3 days Poon Hill trek with Alpine Eco

I highly recommend Alpine Eco trek! My husband and I did a 3 day Poon hill trek with a guide and porter, it was fantastic. Well organised and professional, on the 3rd day there was snow on most of the path and I was ill so it was very difficult but our guide and porter were so helpful. Thank you Ram and entire team for a great trip!

Everest Base Camp Trek & Island Peak Climbing

We've just come back from Everest Base Camp and Island Peak climbing trip with the family, which included a memorable 3 weeks stay in Nepal organized by Ram Kumar and his team! Very quickly it was obvious that Ram and his team not only knew what they were doing, but that they were the nicest people you could plan to trek with. I am particularly grateful for their infinite patience end expert advice during the planning stage, especially as I was very busy with the rest of our round-the-world trips and with work. We trekked to Everest Base Camp with the family and I continued with Ram Gopal to Island Peak base camp. The trip was fantastic from beginning to end and we summited 2 days ahead of schedule. For the climb, I had 2 rock solid and very friendly mountain guides, Dilip and Nima and we were totally alone on the mountain! Ram Gopal is the most helpful, resourceful and courteous guide you could have. He anticipates a lot and is ready to deal with whatever situation may arise in the mountains, thanks to his extensive experience in the Himalaya. The lodges were all much better than I expected, the view from Island Peak was amazing. Even base camp was very comfortable! We sincerely hope to return to this beautiful country for another great trip with Alpine Eco Trek!

Excellent Travel Company for Kailash Tour!!

Most amazing travel company in Kathmandu! Alpine Eco Trek exceeded our tour groups expectations! They delivered excellent services throughout our 13 days with them. From the very beginning, Ram, the owner of this company gave us the best impressions, answering any questions we had quickly and clearly. We were a group of 25 (US citizens) that went on the Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar tour. Alpine Eco trek went above and beyond to organize a wonderful tour based on our interests and needs. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we were greeted in a lovely manner and treated so well by all the Alpine Eco team. There was nothing about Alpine Eco I can fault. Accommodation was great, food was delicious and the Alpine Eco team, well they are spectacular. Some of the best people you will have the pleasure of meeting! Each member of staff treats you like family, and after 13 days with them you end up becoming a family! That is the beauty of Alpine Eco Trek, they treat you how they would treat their families and that's what makes the trip an even more enjoyable one. Doing Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar is no easy task. It is days of travelling, acclimatizing and taking in breathtaking views! Ram made the long journeys the most enjoyable ones. The entire team members, like I said before were just fantastic. If you are considering doing a trip to Mount Kailash or any trips in Nepal, and Bhutan in the near future, Alpine Eco Trek must be your go to! There is nothing I fault about Alpine Eco Team. Everyone on our journey had the most amazing time and it is all down to how well Alpine Eco Trek planned, organized and executed everything. Thank you Ram, RG, Kaji, Ashok, Amit and all the other staffs for an epic, truly once in a lifetime trip!

“Excellent Trekking Company Where Their Clients Come First"

I engaged Alpine Eco Treks to lead 3 of us from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp via Lukla and Namche Bazaar. The owner, Ram Kumar, and 3 porters, Ashok, Maenas & Min, did an excellent job taking care of us and looking after our needs. There was never a moment when we didn't feel 100% supported by Ram and his team from the time we got up in the morning until we went to sleep at night. I had the same experience with Alpine Eco Treks on a trip to Tibet two years ago. I can't say enough good things about them. Hard ot believe that there are any better companies leading treks in the region. Feel free to contact me at g.j.schmeltzer@att.net if you have any questions.

Mother and Daughter 12 Days ABC with Poonhill Trek and Kathmandu Culture tour Jan 2017

I am a 59 years old woman. I was initially attracted to Alpine Eco Trek because their prices were just over a half of some of the other trekking companies. I flew to Nepal to trek Annapurna with my 22 years old daughter who was volunteering in Pokhara. Alpine Eco Trek director Ram Kumar met me when I arrived at Kathmandu airport and took me across to the Domestic airport. He had organized my flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, and helped me book my pack onto the next flight to Pokhara. Next day he met me at Pokhara and showed my daughter and me the sights. For the 12 days ABC with Poonhill Trek he handed us to Guide Ram and Porter Gokul. They tailored the trek to my fitness level and we stopped when we wanted, ate when we wanted, and stayed extra nights or not. This was important because I was not as fit as my daughter, but I got much fitter the longer we walked! Over the trek we bonded until it seemed that Ram and Gokul were part of our family. After 12 days of awesome views and majestic mountains we returned to Pokhara, flew to Kathmandu and Ram Kumar showed us all around the Kathmandu area as well. The trip was a wonderful way of getting to know my 22 years old daughter better and I highly recommend Alpine Eco Trek and intend to use them again.

"Best tour in Nepal with Alpine Eco Trek"

Dear Ram Kumar, Namaste. I'm sorry for my late greetings. Thank you very much for your kind offers during the tour in Nepal. Ms. Ishii and her friends enjoyed this travel very much. They were so happy. I regret that the room was not kept for Ms.Inaba in Hotel Family Home for the first two nights in KTM. I should have asked Nakul to check the booking status in that Hotel before their travel.... Well, again, thank you for your all great services. Hope that Ms. Ishii will bring you new guests for next year !!

Annapurna Base Camp Trek, a dream I had for 20 years!

My husband and I went to Nepal on February 2016. Since I waited for this trip 20 years I really wanted to do it the best way. We decided to trek the Annapurna Base Camp for 7 days. This trip involves walking 4-5 hours a day and takes you along the Himalayan Range of mountains. We started with warm weather and eventually faced rain, ice and snow. Taking a guide with us was the best idea. The trek starts in Phokara, a lovely city 6 hours away by bus from Kathmandu. It has a peaceful lake and a Temple (“Peace Stupa ") on top of a mountain. Nearby, you can visit the Tibetan Refugees Camps, where Tibetan monks and other citizens try to make a life away from home. There are many good agencies in Kathmandu, I can recommend the one I chose: Alpine Eco Trek & Expedition (www.alpineecotrek.com) Ram was extremely helpful helping us to organize our trip via email and providing a guide and helper (Ram Gopal and Amit) who were polite, helpful, answered all our questions during the trek and never let us down. I will never forget the blue skies and clear air of Annapurna....

"Family friendly Nepal tour and trek”

Alpine Eco trek met our expectations and more on a 12 day trip to Nepal. I can particularly recommend them to travellers with children, we took our 11 year old son with us and guide Ram and porter Dhansing made his time fun and memorable. On our trek they happily played football, cricket, running races, volley ball and a table top game I don't know the name of Ram made sure everything ran smoothly, taking care of us, nothing was too much trouble. The trip was great value compared to uk based tours, Chitwan National Park very good, Kathmandu colourful and interesting, our 5 day trek to to Ghorepani was fab, but particularly for our son getting to know Ram and Dhansing will be what we remember most. The tour was private so we weren't in a large trekking group. we booked from the UK, e mails were answered quickly and the tour exceeded our expectations. If we ever go back we would be sure to go with Alpine Eco Trek, maybe Annapurna base camp next time.
