Leisurely level trekking involves 3 – 4 hours a day walking at a steady pace below 2500 meters for around 5 to 7 days trekking trip.

Venturing into a family trip to Nepal is going to worth every bit. A short hike amidst the hills surrounding Pokhara, exploring jungles on the back of an elephant and a sightseeing tour of historic world heritage sites offering the real taste of Nepal is a spectacular plan for a family holiday in the diverse and beautiful country of Nepal. The Nepal family holiday is a leisurely trip delicately put together for a thrilling family adventure with kids, plenty of fun filled activities are enlisted that are guaranteed to be enjoyed by both yourself and the kids. Precisely delineated so as to provide enough bonding and fun time for families without making you very tired.

The colorful and bustling streets and alleys of Kathmandu which will take you to the historic age old monuments and heritage sites will definitely be an indulgence in the culture of Nepal. After exploring Kathmandu to the fullest, we make our way to Pokhara. Graced by the spectacular Himalayan ranges all around, Pokhara will unveil the adventurer in you as you visit the caves, temples and waterfalls and of course go for boating on the serene lake Phewa. The relaxed and chill vibe at Pokhara will definitely uplift your spirits. You can walk along the lovely lakeside market along the lake, enjoy the local delicacies at many of the restaurants and enjoy playing with your kids. A fantastic three day, easy and comfortable trek to the most popular Annapurna foot hills awaits you. The spectacular mountain scenery during the trek will definitely leave you in awe. The lodges where you will be accommodated during the trek provide good basic facilities. Although it may not be luxurious and may not necessarily offer continental food, however, they will be made with love and served with smiles.

After your stupendous short trek to the Annapurna foothills, we bid goodbye to Pokhara. We make our way towards the jungle of Chitwan National Park on a drive on your private. A 5 hr drive to the lowland of Terai will bring you to a safari resort by the park. A bunch of thrilling activities are well planned ahead for you such as  the elephant back safari, a jungle walk, bird watching, canoeing , a visit to the elephant breeding center visit ( we can see several baby elephants too) and a dip in the rivers with elephants. Come face to face with the exotic species of Asian rhinos, different species of deer's, crocodiles, boars, peacocks. This highly recommended destination will definitely be enjoyed to the fullest by your family. As for the trekking part, you can go for a longer trek of 6 or 7 days or a shorter one of even two days, depending on what suits your family's needs the best.(though we have a three trek here).

Nepal family holiday - Outline itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport, warm reception and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu city sightseeing tour including Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar square and Bouddhanath stupa. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: In the morning flight to Pokhara at 9 am (half an hour). We have short sightseeing tour around Pokhara visiting the waterfall and a cave (quite safe) and boating on the lake. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Naya Pul (one and half hours), trek to Ghandruk 2000m (4-5 hrs of level + uphill walk with stone steps to climb). Overnight at lodge.  

Day 05: Trek to Deurali/ Pothana 1600 m (4 hrs). Overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Pokhara, rest in beautiful Pokhara. (3 hrs). Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Drive Pokhara to Chitwan national park 5hrs, take lunch, rest. Overnight at resort.

Day 08: Full day safari activities in the jungle. Overnight at resort.

Day 09: Fly back Chitwan to Kathmandu at 10.30 am (half an hour), free day on your own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Transfer to airport for flight back to home.

Note: Pokhara has a lot to offer you, if you want to stay couple more days extra also possible doing some trips such as visit to world peace Pagoda, Sarangkot, Begnas Tal, paragliding trip and ultra Light flight etc..

Please Note: Miniskirts, Tight fitting, figure-hugging clothing, such as those made with Lycra can often be offensive to locals, especially on women. If you find these items comfortable as a base layer then please pack something to wear over the top of them.
