The Sherpa kingdom of Namche Bazaar is the largest and most prosperous town in the Khumbu region, a historic trading centre where grain from the south was exchanged for salt from Tibet. The town is the main hub of the local Sherpa community where they come to buy and sell their goods. It also contains a number of bakeries, internet cafes and even a pub.

Day 01:Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1350m), Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, meet one of our trek leaders, transfer to the hotel. In the evening, join a trip orientation, short briefing about the hike, enjoy an evening meal and overnight at the hotel.

An early morning flight to Lukla, from here we begin our trek to Namche Bazaar, mostly downhill to our first overnight halt at Phakding (2650m). Overnight at Luxury lodge.

Following the Dudh Kosi valley upstream we cross and recross the river to a final steep climb to the Sherpa Sherpa land of Namche Bazaar (3445m). Overnight at Luxury lodge.

This day is an important day for us on this trip since we walk up to Khhumjung where we can visit a monastery. We can also enjoy the splendid views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, Kwangde and so on. Also, we can take an hour's walk up to Syangboche (3800m.) where Everest View Hotel is situated above Namche for outstanding views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kusum Kangaru. Overnight at Luxury lodge.

We have a long descent today. The trail is very good although steep in places, so we make a leisurely pace reaching Phakding after approximately 5 hours of walking. Overnight at Luxury lodge.

Our final morning's walk will take around 3 hours as we climb back up to the Lukla ridge. Here we check-in for the return flight to Kathmandu. Arriving in Lukla around mid-day or early afternoon we check into the luxury lodge. The rest of the day is free for relaxing or souvenir buying.

After breakfast, we walk to a small airport in Lukla and fly to Kathmandu enjoying the northern range of the Himalayas. Over night at the hotel.

    What kind of meals I can have during the Luxury hike to Namche Bazaar?

    Breakfast will be provided daily in Kathmandu along with 2 bottles of mineral water and a welcome drink. Meals will be served on a full board basis on trekking days. Three meals a day (Nepali, Tibetan, Continental and Indian cuisine) will be provided from the lodge's menu. Every day during the trek, dinner and breakfast are taken to the same lodge where we spend the night. Lunch will be provided on the way to the destination.
