Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu trekking is a combined trek of three different regions that offer stunning Langtang valley with Kyangjin Gompa where we can visit 400 years old monastery and cheese factory. Gosainkunda Lake is another attraction of this trek. The lake is also known as a frozen lake and high altitude lake which presents awe-inspiring views of the Himalayan vistas. It is said that if we take a dip into this lake the skin diseases and knowingly done sins will be erased. Helambu is a fascinating region, Here; we can experience Sherpa culture and traditions without having to go to the Everest region. Also, the beautiful region is home to some of the wildlife and species of birds. The views of mountain peaks and landscapes seen from the Helambu region are always Marvelous.

North of Kathmandu, Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu trekking is easily accessible, the flight is not involved in the region, we can take a scenic 8 to 9 hours bus journey from the capital city to Syabrubensi, the large Tamang village. The best seasons for this trek are spring and autumn. This trek provides stunning views of the great peaks of Langtang Lirung (7250m) which dominates the upper Langtang valley and straddles the Tibetan border. Langtang is a narrow valley, sandwiched between main Himalayan range to the northern and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. This high alpine valley is inhabited by Tamang people of Tibetan origin who practice Buddhism. Trek to Langtang valleys offers an opportunity to explore village and monasteries as well as to visit glaciers at the head of the valley and views of Mt. Langtang, Mt. Dorje Lakpsa 6990m, Mt. Ganesh 7406m and Tibetan Himalayan ranges.

Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu trek starts from Syabrubensi and the trail leads up to Kyangjin Gompa and passes the sacred Gosainkunda Lake. Exploring colorful Helambu region with fascinating Sherpa villages, the trek ends in Kathmandu. A stunningly picturesque region provides amazing panoramic views of Himalayas stretching from the Annapurna massif to Mount Everest and is really an awesome region for Trekking holidays.

Day 1:Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m):

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, one of our guides will greets you and transfer to hotel. After rest and refreshment, join the welcome dinner in the evening at a typical Nepali restaurant with live culture show. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, meet your tour guide in the lobby and start a guided tour including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa. In the evening, we organize a small meeting to introduce your trekking crew and settle the outstanding balances. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel, start a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi, The zigzag drives provide us high mountain sceneries and beautiful landscapes. Overnight at a lodge.

Climb through a variety of small villages and tracts of dense forest, the trek becomes a pleasant walk through trees where Langur monkey (The honey hunter animal) frolic, passing a sice stream and small waterfalls. Stay overnight in Lama Hotel.

From Lama Hotel, we take a short ascends which brings us to the right of where the valley begins as we start going up we will be able to see the beautiful view of Langtang Lirung peak. It is easy to find yak and the wild goats wondering around you. Overnight at a lodge.

Langtang valley is a beautiful alpine village which provides excellent panoramic close up view of Langtang Lirung Genjempol, Ganjala and Naya Kenga Himal ranges. A visit to cheese factory, see the beautiful Buddhist Monastery built 400 years ago. It is a good experience to try to climb to Tsergo Ri (5033m). Overnight at a lodge.

Today is a rest at this amazing village, we visit cheese factory, 400 years old monastery and explore around the glacier and Himalayan Yak pasture. We try climbing small peaks from Kyangjin Gompa. Overnight at a lodge.

Sadly, we leave this wonderful place and trek down to Lama Hotel. Overnight at a lodge.

Walking on a pleasant trail, we trek back to Syabru bensi from where we will start our Gosainkunda lake trek. Overnight at a lodge.

This part of our trek is delightful and warm temperature as we walk through the nice Tibetan Tamang villages, terrace farming lands to Sing Gopma where will stay overnight at a lodge.

The trail to Lauribina Yak is steep and continues for three hours. Then the trail becomes much narrow and misty as well as change in vegetation too as the green vegetation becomes much deserted and rocky. From Lauribina Yak takes about 4 to 5 hours to reach to Gosainkunda Lake. Overnight at a lodge.

After exploring around at Gosainkunda Lake, we set for another day's walk. The walk goes through a steep trail for three hours and crosses Lauribina La Passs at 4500m and the trail is too rocky. After the pass the trail becomes to descend and the slope continues for about 3 hours and reaches to Ghopte for the night halt. Overnight at a lodge.

The trail continues through the forest of pine and juniper about 4 hour's slope up to Thadepati. Overnight at a lodge.

A short and steep descent through mixed fir and rhododendron forests rich with bird life. Crashing waterfalls sound from the rocky gullies below as we approach Melamchi Gaon. Overnight at a lodge.

The trail descends steeply to the valley floor, where we can have a well earned dip in the crystal- clear river before completing the short and mild ascent up the other side of the valley. Tarkegyang boasts an 18th century Gompa with huge brass prayer wheel. Overnight at a lodge.

A flat pleasant walk to Shermathang for walking, this is a an entering Sherpa village and they will be happy to introduce themselves that they are different from the Sherpa of Khumbu(Everest region). In the clear day the villages provide good views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Gosainkunda and Rolwaling, Even Everest also in a distance. Overnight at a lodge.

Today the trail gradually descends all the way to Melamchi Pul Bazaar through meadows and cultivated fields. On the way, we come across several old villages. With the spectacular Mountain View, we will get to interact with local and friendly people. Drive back to Kathmandu by bus or private vehicle. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast will be at hotel, today is a free day for shopping and stroll around. In the evening, join the farewell dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant and celebrate the trek with your trekking crew. Overnight at hotel.

    How can I book Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu trekking?

    Once you confirmed the trip, we need a photocopy of your passport and a 20% down payment of the total price for advance flight tickets and hotel booking and permit process.

    Can I do Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu trekking?

    This trek is suitable for any walker looking for something little adventure and a mountain trek with stunning views of the Langtang Himalayas. It does not require that you have any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. Although, daily jugging or walking exercise is useful and you need to be in the good physical condition and able to walk for 5-6 hours daily.

    When should I come for Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu trekking?

    This trek is good for all seasons so any months from Jan to Dec are the best time to do this trek. Although, Feb, March, April, May and September, October, November and also December are the very best months to do a trek in this area.

    Do I need to stay in Katmandu?

    Kathmandu valley, one of the historical cities as well as the capital of Nepal, at least, you need to spend two nights in Kathmandu and before and after your trip. In our program, we are providing you the standard accommodation in Kathmandu on a bed and breakfast basis.

    Can I join with group?

    Do I need to join with group?

    It is not necessary that you need to follow our fixed group departure dates, because a private trip departs every day upon your request which is best suited to couples, families and small groups of friends. We are happy to organize your holiday according to your selection of the starting date.

    What kind of meals I can have during the trip?

    All Meals on a full board basis will be provided during the trekking. Freshly cooked food is served at all times (western, continental and Nepali meals are available in all places). Three meals a day will be provided.

    Do I have a pre-departure meeting?

    Yes, at first, our staff will receive you at the airport and transfer to the hotel and our tour leader will brief you regarding the trip. The briefing will cover the itinerary and introduce your trek Leader.

    Can I charge camera batteries along the trek?

    Yes, in most places, you can charge batteries along the trek (per hour USD 2-3 for charging).

    Is someone going to meet me at the airport? Are transfers included?

    Definitely, one of our guides will come to the airport to pick you up. We will be displaying a playing card of the company with your name on it. Airport transfer is included.

    Can I extend my holiday?
