Ganesh Himal Ganga Jamuna Trek Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu Airport (1,350meters).

Day 02: Sightseeing tour.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Betrawati.

Day 04: Trek from Betrawati to Kispang. (1,850m).

Day 05: Trek from Kispang to Thulo Chaur (2,350m).

Day 06: Trek from Thulo Chaur - Gonga (3,000m).

Day 07: Trek from Gonga to Rupchet (3,800m).

Day 08: Trek from Rupchet to Shing La pass (4,400m) and Cherma (2,900m).

Day 09: Trek from Cherma to Meyghang (2,300m).

Day 10: Trek from Meyghang to Darkha.

Day 11: Trek from Darkhu to Fulkharka.

Day 12: Exploration day of Ganga Jamuna (also known as Ganesh parbat).

Day 13: Fulkharka to Kathmandu.

Day 14: Final transfer to Kathmandu Airport.

  • Day 01 Arrive at Kathmandu Airport (1,350meters):

    You will be greeted by one of our trek leaders and transfer to hotel and a short brief about the trekking after refreshment. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 02 Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley:

    Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Baudhanath Stupa. Or free day on your own. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 03 Drive Kathmandu to Betrawati:

    It takes about 6 hours; you will drive North of Kathmandu via Trishuli Bazar (Shopping centre for local people, mix caste people from different village,). Overnight at guest house.

  • Day 04 Trek from Betrawati to Kispang. (1,850m):

    It takes about 6 hours (Steep up, mix village, farm and Shaal forest). Overnight under tent or local guest house.

  • Day 05 Trek from Kispang to Thulo Chaur (2,350m):

    It takes about 5 hours. (Enjoy Great Tamang culture, village, School, Monastery, stupa, farm, waterfall). Overnight under tent or local house.

  • Day 06 Trek from Thulo Chaur - Gonga (3,000m):

    It takes about 4 hours. (Beautiful and deep mix forest, Animals). Overnight under tent or local guest house.

  • Day 07 Trek from Gonga to Rupchet (3,800m):

    It takes about5 hours and this is the base camp of Shing La Top; (Deep rhododendron and pine forest, good chance to see the animals including monkey, great Himalayan chane of Langtnag and Tibet range). Overnight under tent.

  • Day 08 Trek from Rupchet to Shing La pass (4,400m) and Cherma (2,900m):

    It takes about 8 hours. (High top, early morning Singla for Amazing Mountains view with sunrise, deep forest). Overnight under tent.

  • Day 09 Trek from Cherma to Meyghang (2,300m):

    It takes about 6 hours. (Nice forest, nice Tamang village, great Mountain View and farm.). Overnight under tent.

  • Day 10 Trek from Meyghang to Darkha:

    It takes about seven hours. Crossing landslide nearby Jharlang, you begin your trek through ascent path with views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, jungle, waterfall, farming terraces and villages. Darkha is the first Brahmin village on this trek. From here you can enjoy the view of Aankhu stream at some distance. Overnight under tent.

  • Day 11 Trek from Darkhu to Fulkharka:

    It takes about seven hours. The early part of your trek is descent up to Darkha phedi and the trail leads us mostly flat with some uphill and downhill to Fulkharka. Fulkharka is a big village with the nice hospital, school, tea shops and important official buildings. This place is near to Ganga jamuna and also the great view point of Manaslu Moutain. Overnight under tent.

  • Day 12 Exploration day of Ganga Jamuna (also known as Ganesh parbat):

    Start early hike to Ganga Jamuna, on the way enjoy some nice Tamang and Gurung villages. Meet the local people, talk with them and know the way of their life. Enjoy a pack lunch at near Ganga Jamuna. After lunch we head to Ganga Jamuna, this is a breathtaking destination where there are two diffrent ridges called Ganga and Jamuna. It is also believe that they are sisters. The highlights of the trip are amazing waterfalls, breathtaking views, holy temple, unique landscapes and the great culture and tradition of surrounding habitant’s. Back to camp, visit school and villages. Overnight under tent.

  • Day 13 Fulkharka to Kathmandu:

    After breakfast, we take a local bus drive from Dadathok to Kathmandu via Dhading Bensi. 9 hours journey. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
