Ganesh Himal Ganga Jamuna Trekking

Ganesh Himal Ganga Jamuna trek leads us through the culturally rich unspoiled ethnic villages and dense forest with beautiful Himalayan flora and fauna on the backdrop of the breathtaking mountain range of the Himalayas.

This trek is one of the best treks in central Nepal on the non-touristy trail. Ganesh Himal is not frequented by many tourists and it is situated in central Nepal, northwest of Katmandu the terraced hillsides seem to climb to the sky. The trekking route takes us through river valleys and traditional farming communities that contain a variety of ethnic groups in Nepal.

Ganesh Himal Ganga Jamuna trek also goes through pine and rhododendron forests and across various passes. During the trek, we can have wonderful views of Langtang, Gosainkunda, Ganesh Himal, Boudha Peak, Himalchuli, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, South Annapurna and Annapurna II.

The trek offers the terraced hillsides governing the sky as well as ethnical diversity from various groups and their mixed of lifestyle that gives us a glimpse into real Nepali life and the trip gives the trekkers an abundant opportunity to observe the rich Nepalese cultural tradition.

It takes about5 hours and this is the base camp of Shing La Top; (Deep rhododendron and pine forest, good chance to see the animals including monkey, great Himalayan chane of Langtnag and Tibet range). Overnight under tent.

It takes about 8 hours. (High top, early morning Singla for Amazing Mountains view with sunrise, deep forest). Overnight under tent.

It takes about seven hours. Crossing landslide nearby Jharlang, you begin your trek through ascent path with views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, jungle, waterfall, farming terraces and villages. Darkha is the first Brahmin village on this trek. From here you can enjoy the view of Aankhu stream at some distance. Overnight under tent.

It takes about seven hours. The early part of your trek is descent up to Darkha phedi and the trail leads us mostly flat with some uphill and downhill to Fulkharka. Fulkharka is a big village with the nice hospital, school, tea shops and important official buildings. This place is near to Ganga jamuna and also the great view point of Manaslu Moutain. Overnight under tent.

Start early hike to Ganga Jamuna, on the way enjoy some nice Tamang and Gurung villages. Meet the local people, talk with them and know the way of their life. Enjoy a pack lunch at near Ganga Jamuna. After lunch we head to Ganga Jamuna, this is a breathtaking destination where there are two diffrent ridges called Ganga and Jamuna. It is also believe that they are sisters. The highlights of the trip are amazing waterfalls, breathtaking views, holy temple, unique landscapes and the great culture and tradition of surrounding habitant’s. Back to camp, visit school and villages. Overnight under tent.

After breakfast, we take a local bus drive from Dadathok to Kathmandu via Dhading Bensi. 9 hours journey. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Permits and Formalities:

A trek to a restricted area must be arranged as a fully equipped organized trek through a registered trekking agency using tents, Sherpa staff, cooks and porters. We arrange the permit through a series of applications, guarantees, and letters, a process that requires a couple of working days. You may not trek alone; there must be at least two members in each group. For some areas, there is a limit to the number of trekkers per season.
