The Best Time for Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek

Nepal has two major peak trekking seasons. They are the spring and autumn. The spring season lasts from March to May, while the autumn season lasts from September to mid-December. The best time to do the Everest Base Camp luxury trek is during the spring and autumn months as they provide the best visibility during the journey with little to no chance of rain. Thus, they also present fewer chances of flight cancellation or delays due to the weather. Although trekking can also be done during the summer and winter months, they are not recommended. Summer months usually preset rainfall and wet and muddy trekking trails with no visibility. Winter months can present high chances of flight delays due to the weather and blockade of the trekking trails at high altitudes due to snow. Summer months occur from June to August and winter months occur from December to February. Winter months also present freezing temperatures, especially during sundown.

During spring, the vegetation during the trip is quite lush. Spring is also the best time to experience the rhododendron blooms that are famous in Nepal. The pre-monsoon season of spring also sows down the Himalayan winds and generally presents appropriate day and night time temperatures for trekking. Similarly, the autumn month is also one of the best trekking times for the EBC deluxe lodges trek.

The autumn months present haunting fall woodlands and the meadows become vibrant with flowers like the marigold. Autumn is the post-monsoon season, and the clouds dissipate to give way to clear views of the Himalayas. However, it is important to consider that peak trekking seasons of autumn and spring also experience a rise in the number of trekkers visiting the region. As such, Lukla flights can become overbooked, as well as accommodations during the trip. To avoid the rush and overbooking conditions, it is advised to book the Everest Base Camp luxury trek early.
