Leisurely level trekking involves 3 – 4 hours a day walking at a steady pace below 2500 meters for around 5 to 7 days trekking trip.

Dhulikhel Balthali Village hiking is another nice hiking destination which is near from Capital city of Kathmandu. This hike provides an opportunity to explore ancient villages, Buddhist monastery and view point that offers awe-inspiring views of monumental landscapes and Himalayan peaks.

Dhulikhel is falls in the central part of Nepal and is just 32 km from the Kathmandu valley. The main attractions of Dhulikhel are the grand and panoramic mountains views, numerous temples, and different types of landscape and a diversity of people. It is a popular Himalayan viewpoint. From here we can have a complete panoramic view of the snowy ranges from Karyolung in the east to Himalchuli in the west. We can also take a day trip to the Tibet border or Tatopani from here. Tatopani is famous for hot sulfur spring.

Dhulikhel Balthali Village Hiking – itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport, meet your guide and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing of world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley including, Kathmandu Durbar square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath stupa and Pashupatinath. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 03: After the breakfast, half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu and Patan Durbar Square then drive to Dhulikhel for spectacular sunset view over the Himalayas. Overnight at Dhulikhel.

Day 04: Hiking to Balthali via Namo Buddha. Overnight at Balthali Village resort.

Day 05: Balthali, Explore around Villages. Overnight at Balthali village resort.

Day 06: Hiking back to Panauti then drive to Kathmandu by surface. In the evening join the farewell dinner with culture show. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 07: Transfer to the International airport to connect onward destination.

Visa for Nepal, you can obtain a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu. Please kindly bring two passport size photos and passport copy along with you. (Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 30 days can be obtained by paying US $ 40 or equivalent foreign currency. Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entry for 90 days can be obtained by paying US $ 100.
