Dakshinkali Nagarkot horseback riding – itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport, reception and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley including Patan and Bhakatapur. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Dakshinkali (first day horse riding), canopied by four gilded serpents spiraling up to make up the pinnacle, this open shrine is dedicated to the ferocious Hindu female deity, Dakshinkali. It is one of the Valley's many Kali shrines, and devotees and picnickers through this place, particularly on Tuesday and Saturday, to offer blood sacrifice to the goddess. Its location in the midst of a soothing jungle makes it a perfect get way from the city bustles, just 20km away to the north. And it will take to horse driving 3hours to reach Dakshinkali. We will visit in this temple around 1hour and after that we will back to Kirtipur city. We will visit this city and over night at hotel in Kirtipur.

Day 04: Today we will visit Kirtipur and Horse riding to Sundarijal, it will take to horse riding 6 to 7 hours and we will have camping in Sundarijal. KIRTIPUR- Situated top a strategic hillock 10km southwest of Kathmandu, Kirtipur (local name Kipu) indeed embodies courage and bravery. Though this township went into backwater following its final defeat in 1768 at the hand of the Gurkhas, it still retains its old glory in art and culture. So, those, who enjoy basking in antiquity, should never miss to go around this historic place to have close-up views of the typical lifestyle of its Newar inhabitants and their much admired skills in producing textile and other handicraft items. The height of Kirtipur also makes it a favored place for viewing the Kathmandu Valley as well as the Himalayas in the distant north. And for those, who wish blending their cultural trip with a touch of spiritual salvation, there are the Buddhist Chilamchu Stupa, Shiva parvati temple and many other remarkable mountains. Its gem, however, lies in the three-storied Bagh Bhairav temple, which is adorned with, among others, the weaponry the warriors of Kirtipur had taken away from the Gurkha soldiers.

Day 05: Horse driving to Chauki Bhanjyang, this day is up and down the trial is like narrow and this day we can horse riding 7 hours to reach Chauki Bhanjyang and here we stay at local guesthouse or home stay.

Day 06: Horse drive to Nagarkot: this day is shorter than another day we will have to drive 2 hours to reach Nagarkot and this is one of the popular tourist destinations of Nepal. It is situated 32km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2175m. above the sea level. The panorama of the major peaks of eastern Nepal Himalayas including Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest – 8848m) and many more 8000m Mountains can be seen from here. We stay here over night, we can see sun rise and sun set from here. And we will back from here after the Sun rising.

Day 07: Today is the last day for horse riding. We drive from Nagarkot/Kathmandu about 4/5 hours.

Day 08: Rest day in Kathmandu, evening join the farewell dinner with culture show.

Day 09: Final departure.
