We begin the Annapurna Ghandruk Loop trekking at the vibrant city of Pokhara. We would also like to recommend this trek for children or elderly people who would like to trek as it does not require particularly long hiking days. During the trek, we will spend the nights at locally owned cozy mountain lodges. The trek guarantees breathtaking close-up views of Annapurna ranges like the Annapurna South, Hinchuli, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Fishtail, Mardi Himal, etc.

Day 01:Arrive in Nepal, at Tribhuvan International Airport (1,350m)

Upon your arrival at TIA airport, meet one of our trek leaders and transfer to the hotel. Rest and relax till evening, join the welcome dinner and enjoy a local meal with a culture show and a short brief about your trek. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, rest, shopping and packing OR the day can be spent doing sightseeing of Kathmandu valley, as per your request we can organize a tour including a tour guide and private transportation. The major places to see are Kathmandu Durbar square, Monkey temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Pasupatinath temple, these all are world heritage sites. Overnight at the hotel.

If we are driving, we will leave the hotel early in the morning at 6:30 and if we are flying we will leave the hotel after breakfast. It is a 35-minute scenic flight. Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 200km which takes about 6 hours to reach Pokhara. This is a scenic drive through the villages, rivers, green hills and beautiful lowlands. Pokhara is a fascinating city that provides a breathtaking view of Annapurna ranges including Annapurna I and Fist tail. The city is famous for its Lake and caves. Upon reaching Pokhara, we check in to the hotel. Rest and relax on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, we take an hour and half drive to Nayapul, we start our walking from berythati along the terraced fields beneath the splendid panorama of awe-inspiring glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges. After passing a flatland, forest, cultivated lands and a suspension bridge over Khumnu Khola, we arrive at the beautiful village of Ghandruk after walking for 3 to 4 hours. An ideal vantage point in this pristine village offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli. Overnight at guest house.

After breakfast, we descent down through the paved courtyards of Ghandruk village past several tea houses, After crossing a stream on a suspension bridge the trail emerges into the main Main Modi Khola valley and reaches Tolkha. After that continue working to Pothana, we will have an excellent view of Mt Fishtail (Machhapuchhare 6697m) from here. Overnight at guest house.

After breakfast, we will follow the trail with paved stones through the rhododendron forest. We will arrive at Dhampus, This area is inhabited by a mix of people: Gurung, Brahman, Magar communities. From here we take a jeep ride to Pokhara, one hour drive. Overnight at the hotel.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we leave Pokhara on a tourist bus, 6 hours drive to Kathmandu will an exciting journey. Enjoy the views of the countryside. Or if we are flying to Kathmandu then we can explore Pokhara till late afternoon and fly to Kathmandu in the evening. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

    Ghandruk village is a typical Gurung village situated in the Kaski District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 4,748 persons living in 1,013 individual households.

    Ghandruk village is a popular Junction for the adventure treks in the Annapurna range of Nepal, especially for the Annapurna Base camp trek, with various trails and accommodation possibilities. From Ghandruk village there are views to the mountains of Annapurna including Machapuchare and Himchuli. It is the route to Annapurna Base Camp and Poon hill. Gurung people are common inhabitants in this village.

    Can I do Annapurna Ghandruk Loop Trekking?

    This trek is suitable for any hiker who is looking for something a little more basic and local taste with stunning views of the Annapurna Himalayas. You do not need any previous trekking or mountaineering experience for this trek. However, daily jogging or walking exercise is useful and you should be in good physical condition and able to walk for 5-6 hours every day.

    When should I come for Annapurna Ghandruk Loop Trekking?

    This trek is good for all seasons so any month from January to December is good time to do this trek. However, February, March, April, May and September, October, November and December are also the best months to trek in this region.

    What kind of equipment do I need to bring with me?

    Annapurna Ghandruk Loop Trekking is an exciting and easy trip. We trek up to 2000m walking through villages, rivers, and green hills, so you need to have the right equipment with you. Please find a packing list given below:

    What kind of meals I can have during the trip?

    All Meals on a full board basis will be served during the trekking. Freshly cooked food is served at all times (western, continental and Nepali meals are available in all places). Three meals a day will be provided during the trek.

    Do I have a pre-departure meeting?

    Yes, first of all, our staff will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel and our tour leader will brief you about the trip. The briefing will cover the itinerary and introduce your trekking guide and helpers. 

    Is someone going to meet me at the airport? Are transfers included?

    Sure, our airport representative will come to the airport to pick you up. We will display a company placard with your name on it. Airport transfer included.
