We begin the Annapurna Ghandruk Loop trekking at the vibrant city of Pokhara. We would also like to recommend this trek for children or elderly people who would like to trek as it does not require particularly long hiking days. During the trek, we will spend the nights at locally owned cozy mountain lodges. The trek guarantees breathtaking close-up views of Annapurna ranges like the Annapurna South, Hinchuli, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Fishtail, Mardi Himal, etc.

Day 1:Arrive at Kathmandu Airport (1,350m):

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, meet one of our trek leaders and transfer to hotel. Rest and relax till evening, join the welcome dinner and enjoy a local meal with culture show and short brief about your trek. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, rest, shopping and packing OR the day can be spent doing sightseeing of Kathmandu valley, as per your request we can organize a tour including a tour guide and private transportation. The major places to see are Kathmandu Durbar square, Monkey temple, Buddhanath Stupa, Pasupatinath temple, these all are world heritage sites. Overnight at hotel.

If we are driving, we will leave hotel early in the morning at 6:30 and if we are flying we will leave hotel after breakfast. It is a 35 minute scenic flight. Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 200km which takes about 6 hours to reach Pokhara. This is a scenic drive through the villages, rivers, green hills and beautiful lowlands. Pokhara is a fascinating city which provides a breathtaking view of Annapurna ranges including Annapurna I and Fist tail. The city is famous for its Lake and caves. Upon reaching Pokhara, we check in to the hotel. Rest and relax on your own. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, we take an hour and half drive to Nayapul, we start our walking from berythati along the terraced fields beneath the splendid panorama of awe-inspiring glaciated Himalayan mountain ranges. After passing a flatland, forest, cultivated lands and a suspension bridge over Khumnu Khola, we arrive at the beautiful village of Ghandruk after walking for 3 to 4 hours. An ideal vantage point in this pristine village offers breathtaking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli. Overnight at guest house.

After breakfast, we descent down through the paved courtyards of Ghandruk village past several tea houses, After crossing a stream on a suspension bridge the trail emerges in to the main Main Modi Khola valley and reaches Tolkha. After that continue working to Pothana, we will have a excellent view of Mt Fish tail (Machhapuchhare 6697m) from here. Overnight at guest house.

After breakfast, we will follow the trail with paved stones through rhododendron forest. We will arrive Dhampus, This area is inhabited by a mix of people: Gurung, Brahman, Magar communities. From here we take a jeep ride to Pokhara, one hour drive. Overnight at hotel.

After an early breakfast at hotel, we leave pokhara on a tourist bus, 6 hours drive to Kathmandu will an exciting journey. Enjoy the views of countryside. Or if we are flying to Kathmandu then we can explore Pokhara till late afternoon and fly to Kathmandu in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu free day or if you would like to spend this day in Pokhara also possible. This day is a free day for rest, relax and final shopping. In the evening join the farewell dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant, celebrate your trek and enjoy the local meal and drink with a live culture show. Overnight at hotel.

    Ghandruk Village Introduction

    Ghandruk village is a typical Gurung village and that situated in Kaski District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 4,748 persons living in 1,013 individual households.

    Ghandruk village is a popular Junction for the adventure treks in the Annapurna range of Nepal, especially for Annapurna Base camp trek, with various trails and accommodation possibilities. From Ghandruk village there are views to the mountains of Annapurna including Machapuchare and Himchuli. It is the route to Annapurna Base Camp and Poon hill. Gurung people are common inhabitants in this village.

    This trek is suitable for any walker looking for something little more basic and local things with stunning views of Annapurna Himalayas. It does not require that you have any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. Although, daily jugging or walking exercise is useful and you need to be in good physical condition and able to walk for 5-6 hours daily.

    When should I come for Annapurna Ghandruk Loop Trekking?

    This trek is good for all seasons so any months from Jan to Dec are the best time to do this trek. Although, Feb, March, April, May and September, October, November and also December are the very best months to do a trek in this area.

    Do I need to stay in Katmandu and Pokhara?

    Kathmandu valley, one of the historical cities as well as the capital of Nepal, and Pokhara, is a beautiful city with lakes and caves, at least, you need to spend two nights in Kathmandu and two nights in Pokhara before and after your trip. In our program we are providing you the standard accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara on bed and breakfast basis.

    Do I need to join with group?

    It is not necessary that you need to follow our fixed group departures dates, because private trip departs every day upon your request which are best suited to couples, families and small groups of friends. We are happy to organize your holiday according by your selecting starting date.

    What kind of equipment do I need to bring with me?

    What kind of meals I can have during the trip?

    All Meals on full board basis will be provided during trekking. Freshly cooked food is served at all times (western, continental and Nepali meals are available in all places). Three meals a day will be provided.

    Do I have pre-departure meeting?

    Yes, at first, our staff will receive you at the airport and transfer to the hotel and our tour leader will brief regarding about the trip. The briefing will cover the itinerary and introduced your trek Leader.

    Can I charge camera batteries along the trek?

    Yes, Most of the places, you can charge batteries along the trek (per hour USD 2-3 for charging).

    Is someone going to meet me at the airport? Are transfers included?

    Definitely, our Airport Representative will come to the airport to pick you up. We will be displaying a play card of company with your name on it. Airport transfer is included.
