Khopra Ridge community hiking tour starts from Nayapul after scenic 2 hours drive from the beautiful lake city of Pokhara, the trail follows onwards gratifying Kaligandaki river valley via the beautiful villages of Gurungs and Magars towards up hills. After Ghorepani, the trail leads us along with the remote areas for a few days while spending time with the local community lodges. Day 01:Arrive at the Kathmandu Airport (1350m)

Upon your arrival at TIA airport, Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by one of our guides and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the time will be rest on your own. Overnight at the hotel

After breakfast, we will take a deluxe tourist bus at 7 AM from Kathmandu to Pokhara via Prithivi Highway, enjoying the countryside view, 200km, 6 hours drive. Overnight at the hotel.

Trekking starts today from Nayapul after 2 hours drive from the hotel in Pokhara. This trek basically starts from here onwards as we follow the routes; the trail leads us eventually outstanding green views with magnificent mountain range along the way. After hiking for a few hours we reach Tikhedunga which is a small but gorgeous town that lies on the riverside, after lunch at this beautiful place, we start gently climbing on the hills to Ulleri which is situated at 2350 meters mainly this village is Magar settlement and place lies on the top of the hills the place was surrounded by a green valley. And this is a place of the first viewpoint of Annapurna and Machhapuchhare Himalayas. Overnight at guesthouse.

After breakfast, we ascent about 500 meters to Ghorepani, our hiking will be started as we finished our morning breakfast at the lodge, our journey lead us towards Ghorepani walking through the rainforest and beautiful nature. As we reach Ghorepani we have entered the check post to check ACAP permits and TIMS cards then we enjoy the view from our lodge. Ghorepani is one of the best viewpoints to see the whole range of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Overnight at guesthouse.

After breakfast, we will be descending through the beautiful mixed forest of rhododendron forests, Himalayan oak, and pine trees. After almost about 3 hours down the hill, we reach a small river, which we continue to follow leisurely downhill Swanta (2,200 m), overnight we stay at the lodge with beautiful traditional meals. Overnight at guesthouse.

The beautiful day starts after having breakfast in the early morning with the glorious sunrise view, today's hike is worth the climb to the popular lookout mountain Poon Hill. The comprehensive view extends from Dhaulagiri peak in the west and Tukuche over the Kali Gandaki valley, Nilgiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchare, Annapurna IV and II, and Lamjung Himal to the Manaslu massif in the east. Today is one of the exciting days to explore Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massif, our journey will begin after having breakfast at the lodge. Today's trekking trail leads us to a short descent along a mountain slope to the foothills of the nearly 8,000 m high Bara Shikar. Finally, we reach Khopra Ridge Danda (Danda = open ridge )3,660m. This opens up a breathtaking 360-degree view, overnight we stay at the tea house.

We leave the main path and head into the deep, almost untouched Rhododendron mixed forest. Little over-committed paths it goes slowly uphill. The forest thins to approximately 3,100 m elevation and the path leading out into open grassland. For our lunch break, we are looking for a nice place with good views. Then it continues uphill through the forest and over pastures to the pasture Dobato. Here you can shepherd down with their livestock in the summer. In Sumphul Danda (3,400 m) we reach a pass that gives us an uninterrupted view of the western mountains of Dhaulagiri, the Nilgiri mountains, and the Annapurna massif to Machhapuchare in the east. After a short descent, it's another hour along the ridge (3,500 m) to our simple accommodation on the Bayeli Alm (3,400 m). This (Community Lodge) is managed jointly by the inhabitants of the surrounding villages. Overnight at guesthouse.

With great views of mountains, morning walk continues downhill into the forest of rhododendron, oak, and magnolia, then reaching the main trekking route at Tadapani, overnight in the comfort of the nice and cozy lodge, and enjoy the beautiful sunset on the top of Annapurna south and Fishtail mountains. Overnight at guesthouse.

Today, as we reach Ghandruk after the short and wonderful walk from Tadapani we will see a Gurung traditional museum at Ghandruk, Ghandruk is one of the best destinations for domestic or international tourists so many travelers visit here to see the ethnic culture and tradition. The place still provides us with beautiful landscape and awesome mountain view with Annapurna south, Machhapuchre, and Annapurna II, the journey ends here and we will take a jeep drive to Pokhara. Reaching Pokhara, we check in to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu by late afternoon flight, arrive at Kathmandu Domestic airport at 3:30 PM, and transfer to hotel.

Final transfer to the international airport, fly home.

    During the Khopra Ridge trek, we provide neat and clean guesthouses on a full board basis (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 3 cups of tea/coffee a day). Throughout the trek, guesthouses are pretty comfortable with attached bathrooms, shower facility, neat and clean bed sheets, pillow cover, and comfortable beds with warm blankets.   

    Food during the trip

    Food during the Khopra Ridge hiking holiday will be provided on a full board basis. Three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 3 cups of tea/coffee) a day will be served from the guesthouse/lodge menus.  Every day dinner and breakfast are used to take in the same guesthouse/lodge we spend the night. Lunch will be taken on the way to the destination.

    It is quite simple and easy to book this trek, after receiving all the required detailed information from our team you may like to book the trip so when you are ready to finalize the trip please send us an email with your passport copy along with a 20 percent down payment of the total price for advance flight tickets and hotel booking and permit process. The outstanding balance you can pay us once you arrive in Kathmandu. 

    Can I do 8 days of Khopra Ridge Trek?

    Yes, you can do it and this trek is suitable for any hiker looking for something little adventure and a mountain trek with stunning views of the mesmerizing Himalayas. This trek does not require that you have any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. Although, daily cycling, jogging, or walking exercises are useful and you need to be in good physical condition and able to walk for 5-6 hours daily.

    When is the best time for 8 day Khopra Ridge Trek?

    The Khopra ridge trek is good for all seasons so any months from January to December are the best time to do this trek. Although, February, March, April, May and September, October, November, and also December are the very best months to do a trek in this region.

    Can I join with group?

    Yes, you can join the group, but you need to follow our departure dates and that might not suit your travel date, so if you traveling with your family or girlfriend/boyfriend or colleagues we suggest you make your own departure date. We can arrange a small group trekking trip to suit your requirements. Please contact us in case you would like to join our group departure dates.

    Do I need to join with group?

    No, it is not necessary that you need to follow our fixed group departure dates, because a private trip departs every day upon your request which is best suited to couples, families, and small groups of friends. We are happy to organize your holiday according to your selecting starting date.

    Do you also offer Tailor-made trips?

    What kind of equipment do I need to bring with me?

    8 Days Khopra Ridge Trek is an exciting and easy trip. We trek up to 4200m walking through villages, rivers, and green hills, so you need to have the right equipment with you. Click here to have an idea of a packing list. 

    What kind of meals I can have during the trip?

    All Meals on a full board basis will be provided during the trekking. Freshly cooked food is served at all times (western, continental and Nepali meals are available in all places). Three meals a day with 3 cups of tea/coffee will be provided.

    Can I charge mobile, camera batteries along the trek?

    Yes, in most places, you can charge your phone and camera batteries along the trek.

    What about Wifi during the trek?

    Well, Wifi and internet access is available in almost all the places, there might be a small charge for using the Wifi and internet facilities but it really depends on the places. Normally, when you reach higher places extra charges on the internet, showers, and charging phones and batteries are also applied.
