Difficulty and Physical Fitness
The short and easy trek to Everest viewpoint is a family-friendly trip that does not go too high, the maximum altitude of the trek is 3500 meters. We have organized this trek even for the groups those traveling with kids aged 10 years. They enjoyed the hike thoroughly. But, the second day’s hike from Phakding to Namche Bazaar is a bit long and challenging as the trails from Monjo to Namche are quite steeps and getting higher altitude too. For this part, some of our clients who felt it hard had hired a horse and rode all way from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. Even though, it is a short and easy trek you are required to be in good shape to do this 8 days Everest trek. With professional guidance by our crew anyone with a reasonably fit can go on this trek. Previous trekking or hiking experience is not required.
Best Season
Autumn (last September to November) and Spring (mid-March to mid-May) are the best seasons to go on Everest trek. The weather will be warm and clear with spectacular views. If you want to avoid the rush time and crowds then winter (December to February) will be an ideal time to go on this trek. However, the cold weather makes trekking in this time of the season difficult for many people.
If you love to see a different kind of flowers, the summer season will be perfect for you to trek in this region to explore the rare flora. Where monsoon (late May to mid- September) makes everything unclear and slippery and a flight to Lukla is always uncertain during this time of year.
How much Luggage can I take during my Everest Trek?
The weight limit for your trekking luggage is 10 kg per trekker, if you are two trekkers there will be one porter from our company and our porter will carry both of your luggage that should be 20kg max. You can leave your unnecessary stuff either at your hotel in Kathmandu or at the Alpine Eco Trek store for free and it will be completely safe. Extra personal expenses on Trekking

To buy drinks, lunches, and dinners in Kathmandu and snacks, hot and cold drinks during the trek and regarding tips for guides and porters it would be wise to bring some extra money (in local currency) which you can exchange in Kathmandu.
Please be advised:
Alpine Eco Trek highly recommends our clients to add extra days in the trip to Everest as a safety margin for your return flight. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and Lukla to Kathmandu may get behind the schedule due to bad weather or air traffic and may cause delays. In such cases, we always try our best to reschedule the flights to and from Lukla. However, Alpine Eco Trek would like to inform you about the possibility of postponements or cancellations of flights. We would like you to manage 2 days extra for the trip to avoid any problems with international flights. On request, we can arrange a helicopter at the cost of approximately USD 500-1000 depending on the demand and capacity. It is very likely that there will be no delays but if any such case happens, we can help organize additional activities such as sightseeing of the ancient valley or day hike to Nagarkot or a wildlife safari in Chitwan national park with your extra days in Nepal.
