Poonhill to ABC trek – 12 days

Splendid 12-day trek – booked with Alpine Eco Trek. Did on New Year Day which was great though a big crowd. View from Poon Hill was breathtaking. Way to Annapurna Base Camp was really heard, a lot of stairs, but all worth it once you reach there. We had a full day at Annapurna Base Camp which was stunningly beautiful, so worth everything. Way down was quick with a stop at the Jhinu hot springs which was so pleasant. Overall great experience, thank you Alpine Eco team, Ashok was a great guide to trek with. I highly recommended Alpine Eco and Ashok any treks in Nepal.

Mother and Daughter 12 Days ABC with Poonhill Trek and Kathmandu Culture tour Jan 2017

I am a 59 years old woman. I was initially attracted to Alpine Eco Trek because their prices were just over a half of some of the other trekking companies. I flew to Nepal to trek Annapurna with my 22 years old daughter who was volunteering in Pokhara. Alpine Eco Trek director Ram Kumar met me when I arrived at Kathmandu airport and took me across to the Domestic airport. He had organized my flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara and helped me book my pack onto the next flight to Pokhara. The next day he met me at Pokhara and showed my daughter and me the sights. For the 12 days ABC with Poonhill Trek he handed us to Guide Ram and Porter Gokul. They tailored the trek to my fitness level and we stopped when we wanted, ate when we wanted, and stayed extra nights or not. This was important because I was not as fit as my daughter, but I got much fitter the longer we walked. Over the trek, we bonded until it seemed that Ram and Gokul were part of our family. After 12 days of awesome views and majestic mountains, we returned to Pokhara, flew to Kathmandu and Ram Kumar showed us all around the Kathmandu area as well. The trip was a wonderful way of getting to know my 22 years old daughter better and I highly recommend Alpine Eco Trek and intend to use them again.
