Short and Easy Royal trek Overview

Royal trek is a short yet legendary trek that doesn’t demand many trekking days but still rewards us with spectacular views of the beautiful Himalayas in the Annapurna region. Like many other treks, the Royal trekking begins from the beautiful city of Pokhara. You will get a chance to trek through the beautiful villages and know the local people and their culture better. Through the trek, we will accommodate you at basic lodges and guest houses. Whereas, if you would like to experience something that is wholly different then, we can also make room for you at the homes of the welcoming and warm locals.

A mother community in this area formed to develop its economy and a good system in the village will welcome us to our camp or guest house with a typical Nepali cultural show. Dance and enjoy along with the locals and if you would want, you can feel free to donate to the community.

As mentioned earlier, the Royal trek starts from Pokhara, a beautiful and mesmerizing lake city where we will be spending a few nights resting and relaxing. You can also make someday hike trips to the surrounding hills in Pokhara, a peaceful and fascinating city. Royal Annapurna trek is an attitude-free trek and you need not worry about bringing along children or elderly people.

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, one of our trek leaders greets you and transfer to hotel. Rest and relax till evening. We will take you for a welcome dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant, enjoy the meal with a local drink and culture show having short brief about Royal Trek. Overnight at hotel.

If we are driving, we will leave hotel early in the morning at 6:30 and if we are flying we will leave hotel after breakfast. Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara is 200km which takes about 6 hours to reach Pokhara. This is a scenic drive through the villages, rivers, green hills and beautiful lowlands. Pokhara is a fascinating city which provides a breathtaking view of Annapurna ranges including Annapurna I and Fist tail. The city is famous for its Lake and caves. Upon reaching Pokhara, we check in to the hotel. Rest and relax on your own. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel in Pokhara, we leave on a private coach to Bijayapur Khola from where our pleasant trek really begins. Initially we start our walk for about an hour through flat paddy fields and cross the river. After crossing the river the trail starts to ascend to Kalikasthan. Lunch will be served midway through the climb. After arriving at Kalikasthan, we rest for some time then explore the surrounding areas. We spend overnight at a local guesthouse or tented camp.

After breakfast at guest house or at camp, we start our walking through the villages. We walk along the ridge of the mountain which offers good views of Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. Today, we can explore many villages, its locals and the rhododendron forests. Overnight at Syaklung in local guesthouse or tented camp.

Today we walk half way down the hill to Rupatal and climb about 200 meters to arrive at Sundare Danda. Walk 15 minutes down to Begnas Lake and enjoy an hour of boating. Transfer to Pokhara, check in at the hotel and take rest or explore the Lake side. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

After breakfast, transfer to tourist bus park and drive to Kathmandu, 6 hours. Enjoy the countryside. If we are flying, we can fly around the late afternoon so that we can more time to explore city. Evening will be at a typical Nepali restaurant to celebrate your great trek. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

This trek is suitable for any walker looking for something little more basic and local things with stunning views of Annapurna Himalayas. It does not require that you have any previous trekking or mountaineering experience. Although, daily jugging or walking exercise is useful and you need to be in good physical condition and able to walk for 5-6 hours daily.

This trek is good for all seasons so any months from Jan to Dec are the best time to do this trek. Although, Feb, March, April, May and September, October, November and also December are the very best months to do a trek in this area.

Kathmandu valley, one of the historical cities as well as the capital of Nepal, and Pokhara, is a beautiful city with lakes and caves, at least, you need to spend two nights in Kathmandu and two nights in Pokhara before and after your trip. All Meals on full board basis will be provided during trekking. Freshly cooked food is served at all times (western, continental and Nepali meals are available in all places). Three meals a day will be provided.

Yes, at first, our staff will receive you at the airport and transfer to the hotel and our tour leader will brief regarding about the trip. The briefing will cover the itinerary and introduced your trek Leader.

Yes, Most of the places, you can charge batteries along the trek (per hour USD 2-3 for charging).

Definitely, our Airport Representative will come to the airport to pick you up. We will be displaying a play card of company with your name on it. Airport transfer is included.

Royal Trekking a great amazing experience

We recently did the Royal trek with Alpine Eco Trek; it was a great amazing experience. Alpine Eco conducts a tight ship, and the owner, Mr. Ram was very prompt in replying to emails and WhatsApp messages while booking our trip. Our guide Mr. Dhurba and porter Mr. Rajan on the trek were very kind, honest, professional and Patient. The views of the Annapurna Himalayas were amazing. Highly recommended.
